Using Basic HTML
(the coding behind the page)

Module Description:

In this module, you will complete two (2) assignments. Your first assignment is to copy a basic web page using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) provided to you and then and upload it to your website. Your second assignment is to start with an empty file and create a web page meeting certain requirements.

What you will learn to do:
(objectives)

1. Understand basic HTML commands.
2. Create an HTML document.
3. Save a file in  .html format using Notepad (win) or Simpletext (mac).
4. Managing your web site.

Assignment:

Create a two (2) simple web pages using HTML.

Software Required:

Windows 95 or higher with Notepad installed 
or 
Macintosh OS 7.5.2 or higher with Simpletext installed .

** you may also use your word processor but you must save your file in a "TEXT" format named as "filename.html"

Pre-requisite Skills and Knowledge

Completed the PRECLASS Activity. 
Be familar with use ftp to transfer files.
